We do not offer full paint correction services at Super Car Wash. Our shop does not have the space to accommodate full paint correction projects. If you are looking for paint correction work on your vehicle, you will have to book with another auto detailing shop.
Our Complete Detail for $225 includes washing and ceramic spray waxing only, no polishing. Our Complete Detail does however include the removal of small spots of road tar on lower body panels near the wheels, the removal of minor amounts of tree sap on the top surfaces of the vehicle, headlight polishing and an iron deposit removal treatment to remove the small flecks of rust on the paint caused by brake dust or rail dust.
You can add clay bar decontamination and a single stage finish polish to our Complete Detail for an additional $49.95. This extra package should in no way be considered a proper paint correction. The purpose of this package is to improve shine and paint smoothness to increase the durability of the ceramic spray wax. It in no way could address any paint correction issues like paint over-spray, paint scratches, oxidization or heavy tar and tree sap. Those types of paint correction issues could never be booked online at a detail shop they require an inspection and a custom quoted price.
Here are some examples of exterior paint issues that require full paint correction:
Heavy Road Tar - Your vehicle has significant amounts of road tar splashed on the lower sides behind the wheels which require more time to remove than we have allowed in our Complete Detail.
Excessive Tree Sap - A dozen spots of tree sap can be removed as part of the Complete Detail but if the amounts are excessive, there is not enough time to remove them.
Rust Stains - Unlike iron deposits from brake dust if there are rusted sections of paint and the resulting rust stains below them, polishing with a compound would be required. This includes when rotors have been ground down and the rim and sides become heavily flecked with rust spots. This sort of rust cannot be removed with just the iron remover chemical used in our Complete Detail.
Over-spray - If you’ve parked your car in an industrial zone and spray paint has fallen on the surface, or improper masking of the car during body work, you will see or feel roughness on the paint. This over-spray needs to be removed with a clay bar treatment . We can however, as part of the complete detail remove over-spray that is on exterior glass using a razor blade.
Scratches - Parking lot mishaps, snow brush damage, pets jumping on the car, any sort of scratch or mark on the paint requires multiple stages of polish to remove. Sometimes these scratches include paint transfers, or plastics from whatever was hit, these transfers may be easily removed but scratches need polishing to fix or at least to improve the appearance.
Holograms/Swirl Marks - Improper polishing of the paint leaves unique patterns in the paint. Perhaps it was improperly polished with an angle polisher, which leaves tell-tale lines or swirls in the paint caused by the faster moving centre of the pad. While polishing with an orbital polisher and a worn or contaminated pad sometimes leaves tiny concentric circular lines. Removing these sorts of swirl marks requires many hours of extensive polishing of the entire vehicle.
Spider Webbing/Micro-Marring - Tiny lines or haziness from improper washing needs polishing to correct. This too is extremely time consuming to repair.
Orange peel - Sometimes brand-new paint fresh from the factory has imperfections, the finish isn’t clear and it has the look of the outside of an orange. This requires multiple stages of proper polishing to remove.
Oxidization - Dull cloudy paint is caused by the top layers of the paint completely oxidizing. The remedy for oxidization is to polish off the layers of oxidized paint. Frequently, the results are less than desired because it's difficult to determine if the paint is salvageable until after all the polishing has been attempted.
If you are trying to resolve paint problems similar to the examples above, do not book our Complete Detail for $225 it does not include full paint correction. Our additional package for $49.95 is not a full paint correction, it is just to improve shine and smoothness for a better ceramic spray wax application. You have to go to another auto detailing shop for paint correction. These examples of paint problems all require that you bring your vehicle to one of our competitors, have them asses your vehicle in person and provide a custom quote for a paint correction of your specific vehicle.
